- all members must be aged 18 or over.
- the discounted rate is only available to members who renew before the end of February.
- yacht members are entitled to use both the yacht and dinghies, as well as make use of all club facilities.
- dinghy members can only use the dinghies, as well as make use of all club facilities. They can also go on the the yacht’s summer cruise.
- owner members may not hire any of the club's boats although they may (if suitably qualified) conduct training sessions and skipper on club events. They can also partake in yacht races and go on the the yacht’s summer cruise.
- all yacht and dinghy members who are eligible must join ATLAS. If you are not eligible to join ATLAS directly (membership is only available to current and retired employees of Adastral Park based companies and their immediate families), you must pay the annual ATLAS guest charge.
- any non-yacht members who go on the summer cruise will be charged a supplement of £48.25 (half the annual yacht membership fee).
- members who have Adastral Park pass cards may use a designated area on the site for boat storage. A length based charge is made for this, payable in addition to the membership fee. The storage year runs in line with the membership year.
discounts for new members
New yacht and dinghy members (or those who haven't been a member for at least 3 years) who join part way through the season are entitled to a discount on their membership, as laid out below:

Social Sails are charged at the training rate.

- you may only have 2 outstanding evenings, or 1 other outstanding bookings, at a time.
- bank holidays are charged at the weekend rate.
- booking fees are waived only if there is a strong wind warning in force for the booked period, or if a race or training session was cancelled owing to light winds.
- the family rate has been removed for 2008.
- if you can't make a training session you are booked on and do not tell your trainer before 12 noon on the previous working day you will still have to pay for the session.
- usage fees (except for training) are reduced by 50% between 1st October and 31st March each year.

- Dinghy training charges are:
- Gull & 420's: £10.50 (per period)
- the three periods are morning to 1pm, afternoon 1pm - 5pm, evening from 5pm.
- for winter bookings (between 1st October and 31st March) there are two periods; morning to 1pm, afternoon from 1pm.
- to get the double or triple period discounts, the periods must be on the same day.
- the weekly rate is the most you will pay for any booking lasting up to a week.
- the dinghy fee includes use of the Trailer for the booked period.
- dinghy fees are not charged only if there is a strong wind warning in force for the booked period.
- usage fees (except for training) are reduced by 50% between 1st October and 31st March each year.
trailer fees
You can hire the dinghy trailers on a daily basis at £6.50 per day.
other charges
We sometimes organise special promotional events which may incur charges other than those listed above. Your committee will keep you posted of such happenings and tell you in advance how much they will cost.
Freebies are only available during the yacht and dinghy open days. These are usually sometime in May or June.
